Little bit about St. Clair’s Falls
The St. Clair’s Falls is considered the widest waterfall in Sri Lanka and has earned it the name “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka”. St. Clair’s consists of two falls, ‘Maha-Ella’ (the greater fall) and ‘Kuda-Ella’ (the smaller fall). The twin waterfall cascades over three rock outcrops into a massive pool and is located among tea gardens, carrying a large flow of water. This is a spectacular view for the travelers. The main fall is located 3 km from the city of Talawakele the fall is located a 500 m away from the road, a walk amongst the tea bushes to reach the fall maybe a beautiful experience of its own.
If you are travelling to Nuwara Eliya, you may have a chance to site the Fall.
