Little bit about Sembuwatta Lake
Sembuwatta lake is another breath-taking tourist attraction in beautiful Matale district. The lake is filled by natural sprint water and surrounded by lush green misty mountains and Elkaduwa tea plantation. Adjoining pine forest gives hikers and nature lovers, plenty of options to spend their day.
The natural pool alongside the lake, adds more and more value to the location. Summer huts, and cottages can be found around this glorious lake.
The place emerged as a popular spot in the recent past for travellers, photographers, and cinematographers due to its eye-catching backgrounds. Also many locals select this place to have leadership camps and the authority is able to provide accomodation for them.
It is an ideal place to spend the day if you are travelling around Matale.
